These emotions are a mfer. But we need them.
I’m a strong believer in the idea that if you don’t want to do something, you don’t tempt yourself by going around that thing you don’t want to do.
Now, the only problem that comes with that belief is that you can’t grow if you don’t go near the things that make you weak.
I think you need temptation just like you need to feel weak at times. The feeling of weakness allows you to pinpoint what you need to work on.
Emotions aren’t fun but they need to be worked on. Once you expose yourself to your emotions you allow yourself a way to hone them.
Just like with anything, the weakness comes before the strength.
What I do like to do is be aware of what’s going on though. What’s going on at this exact moment is my human emotions are beginning to get in the way of my goal.
I know I write about this not being an issue but honestly, it’s a challenge. How do you get past this challenge?
Well, I’m guessing that I have to power through it.
I’m aware so I have to understand when my emotions are coming into play. They aren’t a bad thing – I just have to make sure I recognize what’s happening.
