You can’t expect to wait and still achieve phenomenal results. I’ve been forced to find that when you push yourself, your body is able to handle weights that are simply out of this world.
I deadlift 425.
I also psyched myself out of being able to squat 400.
What happened between that 425 and the 400.
With one, I wanted to get the weight up and didn’t care much about what happened to my body(not the best approach but it worked).
With the other, I was trying to play it safe and also allowed myself to remember what happened when I squatted 370 and dropped the weight.
*Even though I still squatted it, it slipped from my grip.
What I realize is that I can’t allow myself to focus on that. I know what I’m capable of. I squatted 395 for a double. Why am I afraid of squatting 400?
