How do you know when you’re ready?

How do you know when you’re ready?

How do you know when you’re ready?

My writings tend to centre on my own personal experiences (as I believe all good stories should).

Lately, a thought I’ve been having quite often is that the body is supposed to be tested. You don’t know when you’re ready to handle something unless you test your body against that stimulus.

I squatted 285 lbs today. I thought my max was 235. It isn’t. 285 isn’t even it, to be honest.

Of course, the squat could’ve been a lot better but, it went down and I also got out of the hole.

I feel pretty good about it.

I thought this entire time that my max was something that it wasn’t.

It took a period of absolute confidence for me to see that I needed to test myself.

When I went and did so I easily realized that I had it in me to squat more.

That’s what I mean when I say that the body can handle much more than we think it can initially. We are made to be tested.

More on this will be in the book.

Stay tuned.
