Don’t catch the lazy

Don’t catch the lazy

Lazy is contagious

Lazy is like a sickness. Much like the common cold or the flu, the odds of catching this thing called laziness skyrocket when you are in the general vicinity of those who are, for lack of a better word, lazy. To avoid catching this bug, I recommend doing 1 thing;

Cut the people out immediately

The most efficient way to prevent catching laziness is to make sure that you aren’t around the lazy people for extended periods of time; it gets better if you aren’t around them period. This doesn’t mean that you can’t have friends or anything of that nature, I just find that it’s much easier to combat the urge to be lazy (especially if you are inherently lazy like I am) if you remove yourself from situations that will allow you to be in that state. This is where I’m referring to being around the lazy people. Take it from someone who hates working (at least on things that don’t make sense to him) it gets much easier this way.

It’s not always from being around people, notice when you’re burned out

I just felt like this had to be added to the mix. Lazy isn’t always caught when you’re around other people. It can sometimes come from merely being overworked. I’ve had my fair share of days when I would put too much effort into doing something one day and would find that my body just didn’t want any more of it the next. I know the feeling of pushing yourself too hard. At times like this, it doesn’t hurt to take a bit of a break. Sometimes it only makes sense to rest and pick it back up the next day with even more vigor than you had before. Eventually, all the work will catch up to you, and when it does, you’ll be forced to take a break.

Conclusion

We are what we are around. I mean this so literally that it’s kind of scary. If you hang around lazy people and are okay with it, you too will become lazy. If you hand around 3 rich people, you too will become rich. They work in much the same way. If you don’t want to be lazy, you stop hanging around lazy MF’s. It’s as simple as that. You don’t try and change them. You don’t wait to see if they will improve themselves. Life is too short for all that nonsense. To avoid catching this bug, you only don’t allow it any time to take root.
