I’ve had the worst headache in the world

I’ve had a headache for the past week. The pain has literally been excruciating. But I’ve figured out why it is.

Do you remember when I said that we can’t control much? How we can only guide our lives and make decisions that will get us closer to our goal?

Well, I need to listen to my own advice. I do not believe that we can “control” everything. The minutiae, several other things that aren’t very important (at least to me) always manage to slip between my fingers.

By minutiae, I meant the small everyday occurrences. I have a bad habit of trying to control every single thing I do – the minutiae are included in that bubble.

What I’ve realized is that the minutiae can’t and shouldn’t be focused on. We shouldn’t try to control the small things, especially if their control will get in the way of doing the big things.

That’s the biggest lesson I’ve learned in a long time.

Why worry about a single dollar when that worry can take your eyes off of 100 dollars? Better yet, why worry about that hundred or few hundred dollars if that will take your eyes off of a few thousand?

Taking the questions away from just money- it isn’t the most important thing in the world- this train of thought can be transferred over to a few other things.

*such as people, jobs, experiences, etc.

Let go. Our energy and bandwidth must be considered economically.
