Motivation is a fickle thing.
One day we can wake up and have all of the motivation that we need and the next day everything is gone. Motivation isn’t what w should be looking for. Instead, we need commitment. Motivation is a feeling, one like happiness or sadness that can be gone or flipped around in a matter of minutes. Commitment, on the other hand, is what motivation transforms into. Commitment is when you are determined to do something and will not stop until you finish.
How to be committed?
When we are committed, we are essentially telling ourselves that we will finish. Commitment is when a person gets up and forces themselves to work out, day in and day out regardless of the way that they feel. That is commitment. If you are seeking ways to be committed just consider this, commitment is when you are in something for the long run. It isn’t a short burst of effort that you give toward something rather, it has a bit more substance.
What does commitment do for you?
Commitment is how people achieve amazing results. When we get up every day and work on something even when we don’t feel like it, we open doors that wouldn’t have been there otherwise. It builds up willpower, allowing us to take our lives or our crafts to the next level. This is what commitment does for us.
Look at your life
As for motivation, it does nothing. It gives us that burst of energy that opens the door for movement. After the motivation is gone, the possibility of results leaves too. We no longer have the energy to get anything accomplished. If we’re looking for motivation, all that we must do is look at our lives and the things that are going on within them. If your life doesn’t like what you envisioned it to be that is all the motivation that you need.
Life is hard for everyone, accept it. Understanding that life is difficult and the fact that you’re the only one who can change it is the first step towards making a dent in your issues. If your excuse is that you can’t seem to be able to find the motivation that you need to get up each day and do what you need to do look, around you. What do you see? Is it the life that you wanted for yourself? Or is it something that should look foreign but is all too familiar? Our lives should be all the motivation that we need. Once you find that motivation, you get up and run with it, never looking back.
